If you happen to live in Brooklyn or close by you should really check out the classes at the Little Flower School. Taught by the super talented Nicolette Owen, of Nicolette Camille, and Sara Ryhanen, of Saipua it is three hours of fun! Sarah and Nicolette teach all about the different types of flowers in season, arranging, “face flowers”, cutting, etc. And then the really fun part – they let you loose in their studio and everyone makes an arrangement to take home with them. The classes are small so you get lots of personal attention and you meet some really nice people. Fun little extras are your own pair of cutting shears to take home with you and the champagne and cheese at the end of class. Classes are about $265 per person. I took a class on Mother’s Day with my sisters, my mom and my aunt and it was our most memorable Mother’s Day – definitely more fun than the traditional Mother’s Day brunch! Check out a class – and hurry because they fill up fast!
